Integrated Drum Handler / Cable Layer

Our integrated drum handler / cable layer minimises handling time and maximises output. Lift and lay cables without the need to fit cable drums into a separate cable layer.

The Thomson Cable Handling Yoke is the most efficient way to lift cable drums and to lay cable using an excavator crane.

By simply withdrawing two retaining pins the drum shaft is released from the yoke.

Fit the drum shaft to the cable drum, pick the shaft up with the yoke and reset the retaining pins and the device is ready for laying cable.

The Thomson Cable Handling Yoke can be fitted with a hydraulic rotator to help angle the drum for accurate cable laying and an optional control arm with cable thimble can also be supplied for cable guidance.

Standard model has a payload capacity of 3,000kg but the device can be supplied in any required size and capacity.
