Long Welded Rail Mover

A range of trolleys and tow-bars for carrying long welded rail sections and for general purpose use.

The Thomson LWRT trolley range incorporates models for 1m gauge, standard gauge and broad gauge track and a complementary range of tow-bars.

A variety of braking systems can be fitted to the trolleys including air and hydraulic service brakes and all models are fitted with manually operated parking brakes capable of holding the full load on a 1:25 gradient.

Tow bars up to 9m long can be provided to couple the trolleys and a solar recharged marker light system is also available with optional automatic changeover from red to white when in motion.

A wide variety of optional load securing systems can be specified including turntable tops and a deck system to turn a pair of trolleys into a trailer.

Long Welded Rail trolleys are custom built to order and can be produced with any required wheel profile, gauge and capacity.
