Rigid Rail Beams

A wide variety of standard and custom designed beams for handling rail from 1,000 kg to 15,000 kg capacity and 1m to 24m in length.

For handling rail using basic cranes without hydraulic services Thomson Engineering Design Ltd provide a range of lifting beams from 500kg to 15,000kg capacity.

Beam lengths from 1m to 24m with rigid, telescopic or folding design are available together with a range of single or multiple rail manual grabs as required.

Each beam is tested to a proof load well in excess of its safe working load and a LOLER certificate is issued with each one.

Bespoke beams can also be provided for specific lifting tasks.

Rail clamps can be built into the beam or supplied suspended on short chains.
