Wagon Mounted Crane

Fitted to the deck of a rail wagon these cranes can be moved across the wagon to the left, right or centrally and are used for loading and unloading long welded rail sections.

Designed to be fitted in sets of one or two per wagon along a train, the Thomson Wagon Mounted Crane can be equipped with either electric or hydraulically powered hoists to make light work of rail delivery and collection..

The crane may be moved across its base frame and locked on either side or in the mid position.

Rails may be stacked on th base fabrication which is reinforced to take stacks up to six rails high.

If required a hood may be supplied to protect the hoist from the weather.

Safe working load and jib length can be tailored to suit your individual requirements.
