The Thomson Crossing Slab Lifter is designed for the rapid removal and replacement of rubber block-level crossings.

When lifting crossing slabs out of the track, the forks hydraulically clamp the slab against the underside of the frame to provide a reliable grip without damage to the crossing slab.

This allows the machine operator to stack blocks on edge ready for replacement.

When re-fitting crossings the slabs can be pressed into place using two specially fitted blade edges.

One machine operator and two men to release the tie rods can remove a complete two-lane crossing in around 35 minutes.
