Drag Clamp

Our Drag Clamp is capable of withstanding tow forces up to 10,000kg making it an ideal tool for moving welded rail sleeper handling up to 210m long.

The Thomson Engineering Design Drag Clamp has a unique cam action rail gripping system which tightens its grip on the rail in proportion to the pull force applied.

The massive, all-steel construction ensures that the Thomson Drag Clamp is tough enough for the job.

Large bearing areas and soft surfaces prevent damage to the rail and sleeper handling machines.

Cams can be rotated six times to give many years of working life.

Strong, simple to use, low cost, and low maintenance.
