Thomson Engineering Design Ltd manufacture a range of sleeper handling beams from 4 to 28 sleepers capacity.

Each beam is built to order allowing us to tailor each beam to suit the correct sleeper type, sleeper spacing and number of sleepers to be lifted. Smaller models may incorporate multiple chain points for different sleeper spacings.

Beams can have a single central lifting point or twin lifting points on the upper surface to suit your crane configuration.

All beams are designed to withstand at least three times the stated safe working load and are typically tested to twice SWL at the factory prior to despatch.

The strength of each beam is verified by computer aided analysis during the design phases.
